Hi! Time to talk about my tbr!
Obviously, my whole tbr is too long to fit in one blog post, so here are 15 books/series that I really want to read by the end of 2019. (No particular order)
1. The Chaos Walking Trilogy by Patrick Ness

I’ve read a few Patrick ness books before and thought they were pretty good, and this trilogy seems really interesting. When looking up photos for this, I saw that they’re making these books into movies, which makes me want to read them even more before the movie comes out!
2. Whisper by Lynette Noni

I don’t know much about this one. I saw it in a subscription box that I was going to get but I didn’t end up getting it, so when I saw this book in the store I figured I’d get it at least. I know there’s some mystery/thriller thing happening so it sounds like something I’d like but I haven’t heard much about it.
3. 1984 by George Orwell

I haven’t had much luck with classics so far but I haven’t given up on them yet. This is one I’m hoping to like as it seems so interesting, especially the fact that when it was written, it was a dystopian set in the future. It’s obviously now, for me, the past. I don’t think I’ve ever read something with this plot before either so I think it’ll be cool.
4. The Haunting Of Hill House by Shirley Jackson

Like I said before, I haven’t done well with classics so far, but this is another one I’d really love to read. I recently watched the show (twice) and absolutely loved it. I know that there are different characters and plot in this though but I still think it will be interesting to see where the inspiration came from.
5. The Shining by Stephen King

I’ll be honest: I’m not a fan of Stephen King. I’ve read Carrie and It, and didn’t care for either of them. But I really want to watch the movies based on his books, and I always like to read the book before the movie, so I’m going to give this one a go.
6. The flower girls by Alice Clark-Platts

I know basically nothing about this except that it’s a thriller because the blurb is so vague but it seems interesting.
7. King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo

Nikolai!!! I recently read the Grisha trilogy, and I’m now rereading Six of Crows so that I can have all the context but this will be the one I start next and I’m so excited!
8. Gone girl by Gillian Flynn

I’ve been wanting to read this for months but always got distracted by other books, so hopefully this year I’ll finally read it.
9. The girl on the train by Paula Hawkins

This is one that I wanted to read/watch a couple years ago but never did, and while I’m not sure how much I’d like it now, I want to read and watch it for the sake of past me.
10. Frankenstein by Mary Shelley

I’m not that interested in this one, but I got a really cool copy with pictures and I want to read it before I read the next book on this list, which is a kind of retelling.
11. The dark descent of Elisabeth Frankenstein by Kiersten White

This seems so interesting to me and I’m going to read it straight after I read the original.
12. Scythe by Neal Shusterman

I have been wanting to read this for ages it seems so cool and it’s been sitting on my shelf but again I keep getting distracted with other books.
13. Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier

A classic thriller! This seems like one classic I’ll hopefully love and I can’t wait to read it!
14. The seven 1/2 deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle

This was an impulse buy, I’ve seen it around but was never that excited to read it, and then I saw it in the bookstore and thought why not.
15. Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel

Another one I’ve been wanting to read for ages! Also I think I’ll be doing this book next year for school and I want to read it once first without school ruining it.

That’s just some of the many books on my tbr! Let me know if you’ve read any of these and what you think, or if they’re on your tbr too!
